Detainees Abused

What really happens behind the walls of Guantanamo Bay Prison? Through those tight securities and closed doors, what are the conditions of the detainees? These are the questions left unanswered by the US Government who states that torture is inhumane and must be stopped. The media has focused on bird flu virus, high gas prices, and entertainment news, but has failed to report updates on such tortures happening to the detainees. When are we going to take part in fighting for Human rights against such incidents that makes us look like fools in our own country. How can 460 detainees be tortured since 2001 and was never in the headlines of our local newspaper or news flash on TV? I wonder…. US: More than 600 implicated in Detainee Abuse

Easter Sunday

As usual Easter Sunday is full of egg hunting parties for the kids and prayers of joy in church. In Los Angeles you are greeted with few angry protestors with their various messages on their signs. Some of the signs are to deport illegal immigrants, some are regarding the church scandals and others are about the war in Iraq. People have tried to argue with the protestors and complain that they should not ruin other people's Easter.
